At the European Court of Human Rights the Swedish State has several times been found guilty of taking too long to settle the cases pending in the Swedish courts. Wherein lies the courts’ disinclination to settle cases within a reasonable period of time? Who is behind the anonymous voice at the other end of the phone line?
Lawsuit in Progress is a vision of what happens behind the courts’ plastered stone facades whilst the parties concerned are waiting for their judgments and decisions.
Exhibited at among others Hordaland Kunstsenter, Bergen, Norway fall 2009. Now part of the collection of the Norwegian National Museum of Decorative Arts.
