Den Goda Tisdagen – Erik Hellsten

The Kingdom of Sweden has several times been found guilty by the European Court of Human Rights for breaching the right to a fair trial within reasonable time. Wherein lies the courts’ disinclination to settle the cases in time? Who is behind the anonymous voice on the other side of the telephone line?

Lawsuit in Progress is a meditation on what happens behind the courts’ plastered stone façades, whilst the parties concerned are awaiting their judgements and decisions.

Exhibited at among others Hordaland Kunstsenter, Bergen, Norway fall 2009. Now part of the collection of the Norwegian National Museum of Decorative Arts.
