The exhibition in Bergen has now ended. My work Lawsuit in Progress is now part of the collection at the Norwegian National Museum of Decorative Arts.
The Bergen-exhibition is now up and running. Read this, if you like. The trip there was great. Pleasantly surprised about the vivid culture life of Bergen. On Thursday i will lead another MU-workshop, this time in Umeå.
There is a lot happening right now. Last week I moved in at my new office which I am very happy about. As from the coming week and about a month on, I look forward to take part in a new project at Centrum för rättvisa (Centre for Justice). Next week I will also teach at two MU-workshops, in Linköping and Uppsala, and obviously attend the board meetings at KRO and Bildupphovsrätt i Sverige. The week after, I look forward to go to Bergen and the opening of the exhibition That was then.. This is now at Hordaland Kunstsenter, in which I participate.
On Saturday afternoon, I will participate in a panel together with Dan Wolgers and Moa Jantze, at an alumni meeting at Nyckelviksskolan. The subject is talent and ability for a living, from an artist's point of view.
Tomorrow and next wednesday, I will teach at the MU-workshops at Moderna Museet. Sign up here.
I will participate in the exhibition That was then… this is now at Hordaland Kunstsenter in Bergen, Norway, curated by Heidi Bjørgan. The exhibition will open on nov 20. Pop by if you will happen to be in town.
The book "Vägen till ett avtal" ("Road to an agreement") which I have edited and co-written came just the other day freshly out of the printing press. The book covers what artists and curators should think of when they are to agree upon an exhibition. Basic legal and economic knowledge smoothens the contact and helps avoiding missunderstandings and conflicts. Order the book here or here.
I made some comments on the upcoming Odell trial in today's Svenska Dagbladet.
I am currently logged out due to summertime. Please have a look at my flickr page.

This week I was appointed to work in an educational project at the Swedish Artists' National Organization comcerning the new collective agreement for exhibitions at governmental exhibition halls. I'll keep posting about this very interesting project.
I, together with Hanna Frostell, made an installation for the Swedish Artists' National Organization (Konstnärernas Riksorganisation, KRO) to be shown at the grand opening of their new office on Nov 29. The installation was very appreciated. Many thanks to KRO!
Pictures to be uploaded soon. Pictures to the »right.
Civilpliktsrådet (Civililan National Service Council) entered into eternity on oct 1st. The issues about conscientious objection will be carried further by Centrum för vapenfrihet (Centre for Exemption from Arms).
My master thesis in law is now finished. The subject is, hardly surprising, the Swedish legislation on conscientious objection. It will soon be available for download.
The Supreme Court of Sweden has decided that there is an infringement in the droit moral of the movie maker, if a TV broadcasting company broadcasts advertisements in the middle of a movie without consent of the movie maker. Makes sense.
Tomrrow (sunday 9/3) is the last chance to see the exhibition. Black Market is open noon 'til 5 PM on weekends.
I, together with some people from Konstfack, will give an exhibition at Black Market in Stockholm, from saturday (feb 23) and two weeks on. Very welcome.
The commentary on the swedish legislation on conscientious objection has undergone a slight revision. Have a look on the » right.
Many thanks for the year =07. Let's happily-go-lucky break into the prosperous brand new °08!
Newspaper Stockholm City published the broadband story today.
» "Rond" in P3 on nov 6.
» "Plånboken" in P1 on nov 7.
The broadband case is paid attention to in Dagens Nyheter.
I succeeded in my proceedings against B2 Bredband AB. The company is now to fulfil my claims for damage and lowered cost for the broadband connection. No big money, but big principal value.

An extremely interesting project is taking place over seas. Shakespeares literature is made into law in an experimental, interdisciplinary moot court (procedure competition) with students in law and english. The project is not about the legal system in Shakespeare's time, but to interpret the texts as if they actually were law. The judgements from earlier moot courts function as precedents in the present and future ones. Thus, a whole new legal system is created!
The Swedish Market Court has provisionally ordered Unilever to let other companies into their freezers. The court conciders clauses concerning exclusive use of the freezers that the company provides to the shops, as unfair competition, since many shops don't have space for more than one freezer.
The report of the official investigation about some legal aspects on music and film on the Internet is interesting reading.
Sten Heckscher, the present president of the Administrative Court of Appeal in Stockholm, was yesterday appointed president of the Supreme Administrative Court. Mr Heckscher begins his new job at oct 1:st. » more
In the proceedings against B2 Bredband AB, the defendant opposes my complaint and denies breach of contract. B2 Bredband AB claims that technical limitations hinder full broadband capacity and that this fact is subject to a disclaimer agreed upon. On my part, I hold that the disclaimer is not precise enough because of its unreasonable extent and therefore does not cover the technical limitations in question. Resolution is to be expected soon (ARN No. 2007-1533). [update 27/08/07]
Stockholm's worst tasting capuccino was selected yesterday on August 7. It is, despite the Italian ring to the name, found at Konditori Ritorno at Odengatan 78.
The spoken CD version of the report on conscientious objection is now released. Get yourself in touch with Civilpliktsrådet if you are interested in getting a copy of your own.
» A few pictures from last wednesday's vernissage at Plan ett.
I, together with my fellow sudents at Konstfack, will give an exhibition at Plan ett in Stockholm the whole summer, starting June 1. You are most welcome to pop by.
Broadband providers systematically deliver less band width than agreed (often as much as 50 % – 60 % less). My Internet connection is no exception. I have therefore filed a law suit against B2 Bredband AB (my broadband provider; also known as Bredbandsbolaget) to investigate the legal status of the broadband services provided, in comparison to the standard contract used for the agreement. I will keep you posted about the proceedings.
Today, the recording of the spoken CD version of the report "Rätt att vara vapenfri i ett förändrat försvar" started. The report is presented by the voice of the actor Peder Falk. The CD will hopefully be available by the end of May.

The book MU - Vägen till ett avtal ("Road to an agreement") which I have edited and co-written is a handbook for artists and curators in law and economics. The focus is directed to exhibitions. The book covers inter alia how to calculate the artist's fee, how to prepare for a negotiation and what to think of in terms of law and economy when planning an exhibition. It also gives an introduction to Swedish contract law in general and explains in detail the collective agreement for art exhibitions at governmental exhibition halls in Sweden. Part of the MU-campaign. Get it here (in Swedish).
